Baking Out Loud: Fun Desserts with Big Flavors, Hedy Goldsmith’s first cookbook, officially releases October 2, and there are plenty of ways to be a part of the sweetness being planned to celebrate.
Please mark your calendars for week one of fun, specifically Hedy’s launch party and Q&A at hometown independent bookstore Books & Books. The fun begins at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7 at the Coral Gables store with a welcome cocktail featuring Hedy’s favorite spirit, Bourbon of course! There are plenty of spirited recipes in the book around this important ingredient, including herChocolate Bourbon Pie Esquire.com took note of this week. Then, at 5:30, join Hedy and Miami Herald columnist Lydia Martin for a Q&A, and at 6:15 it’s panini pressing time in the courtyard, a signature Goldsmith easy-enough recipe included in the cookbook. Guests who purchase a copy of Hedy’s book that evening will be treated to a bag of treats to take home.
